DHAHRAN: King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals has achieved a significant milestone by entering the list of the world's top 100 establishments.
In the recently released 2025 QS World University Rankings, the university secured the 67th position after climbing from its previous rank of 101st last year.
The university's transformation is evident across academic, research, and administrative domains.
As part of this overhaul, nearly 100 new programs have been introduced, encompassing innovative undergraduate and graduate offerings designed to foster an environment conducive to learning and development.
Among these initiatives, the institution has launched the region's first entrepreneurship program.
This initiative grants students and researchers full ownership of their startups, underscoring a shift towards a modern academic culture that prioritizes innovation and economic enablement.
Furthermore, King Fahd University has adopted the FAST transformation model and implemented the AI+X initiative.
The latter integrates artificial intelligence as an integral component of knowledge across all disciplines, ensuring that it becomes a fundamental requirement for students' academic curricula.
The university has also achieved another notable milestone by recording the highest female enrollment rate in engineering programs globally.
Its diverse student body comprises individuals from over 75 countries, emphasizing its international appeal and scholarly excellence.
