Saudi Proton Therapy Center in Riyadh Achieves Full Operational Status
The Saudi Proton Therapy Center, located in Riyadh's King Fahd Medical City, is now fully operational, as announced by the country’s Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel.
This advanced facility is equipped to provide specialized cancer treatment and is expected to serve approximately 1,700 patients each year.
As the first of its kind in the Middle East, the center offers cutting-edge proton beam therapy, eliminating the need for many Saudi patients to seek treatment abroad. It delivers comprehensive care domestically, allowing patients to remain close to their families.
Constructed over a 4,000 square meter area at a cost of over SR924 million, this significant health sector development aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, promoting a dynamic society and advancing the nation's Health Transformation Program.
