Saudi jewelry designer Raghad Al-Hogail shined at the Saudi Cup, wearing and showcasing her handcrafted jewelry.
The founder of Ragail Jewelry, Al-Hogail shared with Arab News that her chosen accessory, a Sun Orchid-inspired piece, symbolizes the supportive nature of the Saudi people.
Her brand, established in 2014, reflects Saudi and Arab culture through distinctive designs featuring Arabic calligraphy, camels, and traditional dallah motifs.
Al-Hogail's journey in jewelry began with a successful exhibition in 2007 when she sold her entire collection, propelling her to participate in over 40 international shows, including Paris Fashion Week.
She moved to California in 2014, studied jewelry design, and set up her business in LA. Al-Hogail's artistic process is spontaneous, drawing inspiration from stories much like composing poetry. She aims to craft pieces that resonate with wearers on a personal level.
Ragail Jewelry's creations, available from $400 and up to her highest valued piece at $400,000, are made in Los Angeles. The 'Organic' collection, designed during a time of personal hardship, holds special significance for Al-Hogail, inspired by the Kaaba's Black Stone.
Despite her success in the US, Al-Hogail aspires to establish an art gallery in Saudi Arabia to foster creativity and collaboration amongst artists. She cherishes the idea of a creative hub in her homeland for artists across various disciplines to thrive together.
