Saudi Arabia and Iran Meet in Cape Town to Enhance Bilateral Relations
Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, met with Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, in Cape Town on Friday.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Friends of BRICS Group Ministerial Meeting.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in various fields and followed up on the steps to implement the agreement signed between the two countries in Beijing, including the intensification of bilateral efforts to promote international peace and security.
Both sides expressed a desire to intensify consultative meetings and discuss ways to cooperate to achieve more positive prospects for bilateral and multilateral relations.
They aim to achieve this in a way that benefits the interests of both countries and their peoples.
