Saudi Health Ministry launches home flu vaccination via Sanar app for vulnerable groups.
The Saudi Health Ministry has launched a home vaccination service for seasonal flu, accessible through the Sanar app, targeting children, the elderly, those with chronic diseases, pregnant women, and healthcare workers. This aims to enhance accessibility and the ministry assures the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine, encouraging its widespread use.

In other news, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced the Riyadh Non-Profit Foundation to promote social development and innovation. The foundation aims to support research, social activities, and enhance community contributions while partnering with government and non-profit institutions to create job opportunities and a sustainable environment.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority has penalized 24 pharmaceutical firms $180,000 for supply chain violations, including not reporting potential shortages and inadequate stock maintenance. These fines highlight the importance of ensuring a consistent six-month medicine supply and maintaining proper notification to avoid shortages in Saudi Arabia.

Turning to international developments, the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza reports over 41,000 dead and tens of thousands injured as the conflict intensifies. The latest incident involved an Israeli strike on a school-turned-shelter in the Jabalia camp, leading to significant casualties and further displacement in the Gaza Strip.

Similarly, in Beirut, an Israeli strike targeted Mohammed Srur, the head of Hezbollah's drone unit, marking the fourth such attack in the area within a week. This latest strike resulted in two deaths and 15 injuries, with Srur’s fate still uncertain as tensions continue to escalate in the region.

Finally, looking towards the future, the Philippines has announced plans to launch its first nuclear power plant by 2032, aiming to add 1,200 megawatts initially and expand to 4,800 MW by 2050. This initiative, part of the Philippine Energy Plan, seeks to reduce reliance on imported coal and boost renewable energy sources to meet the country’s growing power demands.
