Saudi Food and Drug Authority Conducts 4,719 Inspections in June 2023, Monitoring 128 Violations
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) monitored 128 violations in June 2023 while conducting 4,719 inspection tours on establishments under its supervision.
These inspections covered a range of food, pesticide, and drug-related establishments, as well as unknown warehouses and advertisements.
As a result of these inspections, 17 establishments were closed for operating without a license, and others were shut down for safety violations.
The SFDA also stopped three production lines and destroyed 667kg of products.
In addition, the authority rejected 312 consignments through Saudi Arabia's ports.
