Johnson Controls Arabia has initiated the export of Saudi-made HVAC products to the United States, having recently shipped approximately 100 chillers intended for use in American public schools.
This expansion marks a significant milestone for the company, which has seen a considerable increase in its local manufacturing capabilities.
The manufacturing facility located in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) has ramped up production, with 80–90% of its products now being produced locally, a notable increase from 30% just three years prior.

Johnson Controls Arabia, stated that the company has successfully expanded its market reach to 26 countries, celebrating the recent shipment of its scroll chiller technology to the U.S.
Johnson Controls Arabia employs around 3,000 personnel in Saudi Arabia and has emerged as a significant supplier of HVAC solutions across the region.
The company has supplied cooling systems for several high-profile projects, including the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, various airports, medical cities, and educational institutions, all of which utilize equipment manufactured in Saudi Arabia.
Looking ahead, Al-Shaikh indicated that the company anticipates that between 25% to 30% of its production by 2025 will cater to international markets, which include nations such as China, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Projected manufacturing output is expected to increase by 35% to 40% in the upcoming year to satisfy ongoing demand.

Johnson Controls Arabia has reinforced its collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), with forthcoming agreements aimed at supplying efficient HVAC products to real estate ventures owned by PIF.
Al-Shaikh emphasized that products manufactured in Saudi Arabia are conforming to global standards, enabling them to compete effectively in international markets with minimal modifications.
The company is also broadening its product offerings in sectors experiencing significant growth, such as data centers, where there is a heightened demand for cooling solutions.
Furthermore, it is contributing to Saudi Arabia’s food security initiatives by supplying industrial refrigeration systems for food storage purposes.
