Saudi Arabia Launches $207 Million Geological Mapping Project for Arabian Shield Region
Saudi Arabia has launched a $207 million geological mapping project to explore the Arabian Shield region and build a comprehensive database of topographic insights.
The project is part of the General Program of the Geological Survey and will be implemented in partnership with the Chinese Geological Survey.
The goal is to generate detailed digital geological data, understand the origin of mineral deposits, and attract investments in the mining sector.
The project aims to produce 271 geological reports and maps at a scale of 1:100,000 and aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative.
