Saudi Arabia to host meeting of Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh
Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday that it will host the next ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh in 2023.
The Kingdom's announcement came during its participation in the meeting of political directors of the International Coalition against Daesh, which was held in The Hague, Netherlands, on Wednesday.
The announcement is an embodiment of Saudi Arabia's active role as a strategic partner in the global coalition, and in line with the international efforts made by the Kingdom in combating terrorist entities in all their forms
In a statement issued by the political meeting, the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh welcomed the Kingdom's decision to the ministerial meeting next year.
The Hague meeting discussed international joint efforts to combat Daesh in Iraq, Syria and other regions, as well as the ways to clamp down on this terrorist entity and prevent its expansion around the world as well as continued coordination to completely eradicate the roots of terrorism.
