Saudi Arabia seeks to develop relations with all countries: FM

Saudi Arabia seeks to develop relations with all countries worldwide, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan said during a reception here on Friday.
The Kingdom’s permanent delegation to the United Nations in New York held a reception on the Kingdom’s 91st National Day, in the presence of Prince Faisal and the Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Rima Bint Bandar.

Prince Faisal said that Saudi Arabia’s active diplomatic work seeks to develop relations with all countries, deepen friendship, and draw a path based on moderation, openness, dialogue, and cooperation with the international community to lay the foundations for international peace and security.

“This way of working is established from the era of the founding King Abdulaziz to the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz.”“We’re committed to firm principles in our foreign policy based on good neighborliness, respect states sovereignty and international laws, and effective partnership with brothers and friends in the international community,” he said.

“We welcome a new year to be added to the history of our homeland, which is full of achievement, goodness, and peace.”

“On the occasion of the 91st National Day, we recall with pride the achievements in the past by the late founder, King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman and with the people of this land, in a way that expresses a unique and deep bond that unites the royal family with the people of this country,” he added.

The permanent Saudi representative to the UN Abdallah Al-Mouallimi welcomed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives Abdulla Shahid, the President-elect of the 76th session of the General Assembly.

Shahid praised the Kingdom’s continued support to the United Nations system and international issues internationally and the General Assembly in particular.

The ceremony was attended by ministers, heads of delegations of brotherly and friendly countries participating in the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
