Saudi Arabia's Qiddiya City Set to Open Six Flags Theme Park in December 2025

Qiddiya Investment Co.'s flagship development aims to establish Riyadh as a major entertainment hub.
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is set to open its first Six Flags theme park on December 31, 2025, as part of Qiddiya City's efforts to become a leading destination for entertainment, sports, and culture in the region.

Located in the Tuwaiq Mountains, about 40 minutes from Riyadh, Qiddiya City is being positioned as a master-planned development centered around the company’s 'Power of Play' strategy, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The launch of Six Flags Qiddiya City marks a significant milestone in Saudi Arabia's transformation under Vision 2030, which aims to attract up to 150 million visitors annually by that time.

This initiative represents the kingdom’s shift towards economic diversification beyond oil dependence.

Brian Machamer, president of Six Flags Qiddiya City, emphasized the park’s role in showcasing Qiddiya City’s core values: 'bold imagination,' 'unforgettable experiences,' and setting a new standard for global entertainment.

The theme park will feature 28 rides, including several internationally recognized attractions.

These include the Falcons Flight roller coaster, touted as the world's tallest, fastest, and longest; the Iron Rattler, described as the world’s tallest tilt coaster; and Spitfire, marketed as the globe’s tallest inverted coaster.

In addition to thrill rides, there will be 18 family-oriented attractions.

The development of Qiddiya City is envisioned to encompass a wide range of facilities including residential units, retail spaces, offices, hotels, healthcare centers, and educational institutions, reflecting Saudi Arabia's broader strategy to bolster its tourism sector and economically diversify the nation.

The theme park will open daily at 4 p.m., with complimentary shuttle services available for guests from designated parking areas and Jeddah Metro Station, starting at 3 p.m. All transportation options are accessible for visitors with disabilities.

Ticket prices start at SR325 ($87) for adults and SR275 for children; infants under four will be admitted free of charge.

Visitors have the option to purchase an Unlimited GoFast Pass for priority access to select rides.

Special discounted rates for individuals with special needs, senior citizens, and companions can be obtained exclusively at the park, starting from SR75.
