The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) has backcasted the population of Saudi Arabia from 2010 to 2022 based on the results of the 2022 Saudi census, which is an improvement from the 2010 census's reliance on field and paper work.
The backcasted figures will be published on GASTAT's website.

The President of GASTAT, Dr. Fahad Aldossari, stated that the release of such comprehensive and accurate census data is due to improvements in international methodologies and data-capture technology, as well as coordination between government agencies and digital infrastructure.
The census results will be available on a dedicated website featuring interactive dashboards, maps, reports, and charts.
