Saudi Arabia’s KSrelief, UNICEF launch education training for Yemenis
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center recently launched a training course for educators in cooperation with UNICEF as part of a project to support Yemeni children’s access to quality education opportunities.
The training course lasts for eight days, during which 60 people in the education sector receive training in security, safety and teacher readiness.
The director of the office of the Ministry of Education in the Aden governorate, Abdul Raqib Al-Raqibi, noted that the course’s outputs will train both teachers and students and form qualified teams that will contribute to the stability of the educational process, especially in light of the current humanitarian crisis.
Meanwhile, the Emergency Center for Epidemic Control, supported by KSrelief, has continued to provide treatment services for patients in the Hajjah governorate.
In one week, the center received 4,589 patients with various health conditions and provided them with medical services. Clinics delivered medication to 1,406 people.
The mobile medical nutrition clinics of KSrelief also provided treatment services for 5,285 patients in the Hodeidah governorate in one week.
The prosthetic limbs and physical rehabilitation center in the Marib governorate provided 1,522 services for 572 beneficiaries in one month. Services included the manufacturing, fitting, delivery and maintenance of prosthetic limbs for 343 patients. The center also provided other treatments for 229 patients, including physical therapy and consultations.
KSrelief has implemented 678 projects in Yemen at a total cost of almost $4 billion. Yemen is among the top beneficiaries of KSrelief’s assistance.
