Saudi Arabia Mourns the Passing of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd
Former Eastern Province Governor's Funeral Held in Riyadh
Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, former governor of Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, has passed away at the age of 75. The Royal Court announced his death on January 28, 2025. Funeral prayers were held on January 29 following the Asr prayer at the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, along with other members of the royal family, ministers, senior officials, and citizens, attended the service.
Prince Mohammed bin Fahd served as the governor of the Eastern Province from 1985 to 2013. He was also the founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development.
