Saudi Arabia Appoints Dr. Faisal bin Saud Al-Mujfel as Ambassador to Syria; New Syrian Ambassador Assumes Duty in Riyadh
Dr. Faisal bin Saud Al-Mujfel has been named as the new Saudi Arabian ambassador to Syria.
He expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for entrusting him with this role.
Al-Mujfel expressed pride in the appointment and prayed for the ability and success to effectively represent Saudi Arabian interests and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
It is important to note that Syria had previously appointed Dr. Muhammad Soussan as their new ambassador to Saudi Arabia, who assumed his duties in Riyadh in January 2023.
The diplomatic ties between the two countries were restored in May 2023, following a 12-year hiatus.
