Saudi Arabia and US Deepen Partnership in Research, Development, and Innovation
Saudi Arabia and the U.S. are deepening their partnership in research, development, and innovation. During a visit to Washington, Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha, who also leads the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, met with U.S. National Science Foundation Director Sethuraman Panchanathan to discuss collaboration and support for pioneering scientists in key areas.
Eng. Al-Swaha also engaged with NIH Director Monica M. Bertagnolli to talk about innovative health research projects. They focused on advancing innovations addressing global health issues, aligning with Saudi Arabia's strategic research and innovation goals.
These meetings reinforce Saudi Arabia's commitment to advancing its innovation-based economy through strategic capacity building and investment in research and innovation.
