Saudi Arabia and Qatar Strengthen and Expand Economic and Security Ties
Saudi Arabia and Qatar are enhancing their economic, military, cultural, and sports connections following a high-level meeting between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad.
During the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council, the two leaders agreed to broaden cooperation to drive sustainable growth for both nations.
Prince Mohammed visited Doha to participate in the 44th session of the GCC's supreme council and the Saudi-Qatari meetings, where various agreements and MOUs were signed. Sheikh Tamim acknowledged Saudi Arabia's success in securing the World Expo 2030 and its bid for the 2034 World Cup.
The countries will also increase political collaboration in regional and global matters, including security and military endeavors, offering training and scholarships.
Additionally, they pledged to support each other's World Cup efforts and foster ties in culture, tourism, and entertainment, aiming to attract more international tourists.
In alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Qatar's National Vision 2030, the two sides committed to cementing economic, trade, and investment partnerships.
