Four Killed in Tesla Electric Car Fire in France

Four people died in France when a Tesla car caught fire near Niort, including the driver and three restaurant employees. An investigation is underway to determine the cause, with initial reports indicating a high-speed collision. Tesla, under CEO Elon Musk, has previously faced safety scrutiny, including a recent recall of over two million vehicles.
Four individuals were tragically killed when a Tesla electric car caught fire near Niort, in western France.

The incident took place late Saturday night, causing the death of the driver and three passengers, all of whom were employees at a restaurant in the nearby town of Melle.

Authorities have begun an investigation to determine the cause of the accident, which preliminary reports suggest involved the vehicle colliding with several road signs at high speed.

Rescuers found all occupants deceased upon arrival.

Tesla, founded by CEO Elon Musk, has faced scrutiny over safety concerns in the past.

Notably, the company settled with the family of a deceased engineer in 2018 following an accident involving the autopilot feature.

In December, Tesla recalled over two million vehicles in North America due to autopilot software concerns.
