Israel Returns 80 Palestinian Bodies, Buries Them in Mass Grave
Gaza's Civil Defence received 80 unidentified Palestinian bodies from Israel on Monday, which were buried in a mass grave in Khan Yunis. Civil Defence Director Yamen Abu Suleiman reported receiving the bodies in 15 bags without any identifying information. Civil Defence Director Yamen Abu Suleiman said the bodies arrived in 15 bags, each containing more than four individuals, and no names or information were provided about them.
The mass grave was dug near the Turkish cemetery in Khan Yunis, Gaza.
Salwa Karaz, a displaced woman, sought to find her missing son among the bodies.
Hamas criticized Israel for exacerbating families' sufferings by not providing identities with the bodies.
The war, which began on October 7 when Hamas attacked Israel, has resulted in significant casualties and ongoing conflicts.
