Riyadh Issues First Sustainable Development License
Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, starts a major sustainable infrastructure phase with the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center issuing its first project license. Starting with a nine-day utility connection excavation license on June 10, this marks the center's commitment to efficient infrastructure planning and stakeholder collaboration. RIPC, established by a Council of Ministers decree in July 2023 and chaired by Riyadh's Mayor Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, aligns with Vision 2030 goals to enhance the quality of life.
Saudi Arabia's capital city, Riyadh, is embarking on a significant phase of integrated sustainable infrastructure with the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center (RIPC) issuing its first project license.
This marks the beginning of a phased approach to licensing, starting with a nine-day utility connection excavation license issued on June 10.
Tariq bin Mohammed Al-Harbi, RIPC's Vice President for Operations, stated that the gradual issuance ensures market demands are met efficiently.
The center is focused on improving infrastructure planning, fostering stakeholder collaboration, digitizing project plans, and complying with international standards.
RIPC was established by a decree from the Council of Ministers in July 2023 and is chaired by Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, the Mayor of Riyadh.
This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals to enhance the quality of life and promote sustainable development in Riyadh.
