Riverbed Launches Saudi-Hosted Aternity Cloud with Local AI Observability Capabilities
New SaaS solution aligns with Saudi Arabia’s data sovereignty agenda and strengthens Riverbed’s regional HQ presence
Global observability specialist Riverbed has announced the forthcoming launch of its Aternity® Cloud service hosted in Saudi Arabia, marking the first software-as-a-service observability platform in the Kingdom designed to meet full local data-residency and regulatory requirements.
The company concurrently confirmed the establishment of its Middle East and North Africa regional headquarters in Riyadh, staffed with a local general manager, executive directors and dedicated support teams.
Aternity Cloud delivers enterprise-scale digital employee experience (DEX) monitoring, capturing telemetry across devices, business applications and cloud-native services.
Hosted locally, the platform offers AI-powered insights and remediation while allowing organisations—including in sensitive sectors such as defence—to adopt observability solutions without compromising data control.
This aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 drive for cloud localisation and secure digital transformation.
The move underscores a broader surge in artificial-intelligence investment in the Kingdom, where Riverbed research found AI spending rose by around 160 per cent year-on-year.
As companies consolidate observability tools, the locally hosted Aternity offering enables Saudi enterprises to replace multiple disparate systems with a unified, compliant platform.
Riverbed indicated that the service will be generally available in the first quarter of 2026 and will be supported by its new Riyadh-based regional hub.
By combining local hosting, advanced AIOps functionality and dedicated regional presence, Riverbed aims to become a core partner to Saudi organisations accelerating their digital agendas.
The development also signals growing international vendor confidence in Saudi Arabia’s cloud infrastructure and regulatory ecosystem as more global technology firms establish regional footprints.
