Prince Naif Arab Security Medal was awarded to King Salman
King Salman was honored with the Prince Naif Arab Security Medal of the Excellent Class at the 41st session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council.
The prestigious award acknowledges his significant contributions to Arab security. Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, representing the King, accepted the medal in Tunis, with the event presided over by Tunisian President Kais Saied.
In his remarks, Prince Abdulaziz emphasized the necessity of enhanced collaboration for Arab security and addressing emerging challenges, particularly in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence misuse, and innovative drug trafficking methods.
He pointed out the impact on Palestinians enduring severe humanitarian and security conditions, underscoring the region’s history of unified efforts in security and prosperity, which have been instrumental in countering terrorism and criminal activities.
Advocating for strategic Arab partnership against these threats, Prince Abdulaziz detailed Saudi Arabia's robust security campaigns against drugs, which have yielded significant results. He relayed King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's regards, affirming their commitment to strengthening Arab security collaboration.
Tunisian Interior Minister Kamel Feki opened the session, calling for reinforced Arab security unity and strategic coordination. Meanwhile, Mohammad bin Ali Kuman, Secretary-General of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, denounced the violence by Israeli forces in Palestine and reiterated support for Palestine’s sovereignty.
