PIF Launches New Company to Deliver Expo 2030 Riyadh

The Public Investment Fund (PIF) has announced the launch of a new company, Expo 2030 Riyadh Company, to build and operate facilities for Expo 2030 Riyadh.
RIYADH — The Public Investment Fund (PIF) has recently launched Expo 2030 Riyadh Company, a wholly-owned entity responsible for constructing and managing the facilities for Expo 2030 Riyadh.

This event will be the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia and is expected to attract over 40 million visits.

The master plan for the expo covers an area of 6 million square meters north of Riyadh, adjacent to the future King Salman International Airport.

Once completed, it will become one of the largest Expo sites in history, directly connected to various key locations.

After its completion, the company aims to transform the exhibition into a global village, providing a multicultural hub for retail and dining activities.

It will also be surrounded by a world-class residential community that serves as an example for sustainable tourism.

The Public Investment Fund works towards creating positive economic impacts in Saudi Arabia while ensuring sustainable returns.

Saad Alkroud, Head of the Local Real Estate Investment Division at PIF, stated that Expo 2030 Riyadh benefits from PIF's diverse local and global ecosystem.

The establishment of this company aligns with PIF's strategy to drive economic transformation and diversification, as well as urban innovation and enhanced quality of life in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

ERC is actively launching operations and partnering with the local and global private sector to achieve its goals for construction, cultural programming, and event management.

Expo 2030 Riyadh will take place from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031 and aims to strengthen Riyadh's attractiveness to international businesses.

This event signifies the city's status as one of the world's fastest-transforming capitals, combining sustainability, connectivity, and quality of life at scale.

Riyadh was awarded hosting rights for Expo 2030 in November 2024, winning in the first round.

During its construction phases, Expo 2030 Riyadh is projected to contribute around $64 billion to Saudi GDP and generate approximately 171,000 direct and indirect jobs once operational.

It is expected to contribute approximately $5.6 billion to GDP. Participating countries will have the option of building permanent pavilions and being part of the event's legacy.

The expo offers opportunities for long-term business and investment growth.
