Customs Authorities Foil Attempt to Smuggle Over 100kg of Hashish at Empty Quarter Port

ZAKAT, TAX AND CUSTOMS AUTHORITY (ZATCA) COMPLETES SUCCESSFUL RAID EMPTY QUARTER PORT - The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle over 100 kilograms of Narcotic Hashish at Empty Quarter port.
The Authority discovered the Hashish hidden inside a truck coming into Saudi Arabia through the Empty Quarter port.
ZATCA has emphasized the importance of tightening customs control over imports and exports in the country.
The Authority has pledged to continue to combat all smuggling attempts.
ZATCA's efforts are aimed at enhancing security and protecting society by combating attempts to smuggle contraband in collaboration with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC).

ZATCA confirms that it receives through these channels reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the provisions of the unified customs system in complete confidentiality.
