Riyadh - Oman's banking sector continued to show steady growth in the first half of 2025, with total credit expanding by 8.4 percent year-on-year to reach 34.1 billion Omani rials ($88.7 billion), as reported by the Central Bank of Oman.
Private sector lending saw a 6.6 percent increase, predominantly driven by non-financial corporations and households.
This growth supports Oman's Vision 2040 goals aimed at economic diversification, private sector expansion, and financial stability.
