Tuggar emphasizes Nigeria's constitutional commitment to religious freedom.
Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar addressed concerns over religious persecution in his country, asserting that it is 'impossible' under the Nigerian constitution.
Speaking alongside German counterpart Johann Wadephul in Berlin, Tuggar highlighted the nation’s commitment to religious freedom and adherence to the rule of law.
He emphasized that any state-backed religious persecution would be contrary to all constitutional principles and impossible to be supported by any level of government in Nigeria.
This statement comes amid discussions related to potential international military actions in response to threats against Christians, as previously mentioned by U.S. President
Donald Trump.
