Minsa reminds that inland travel requires safe-conduct
The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reiterated this Thursday that those people who do not have a pass will not be able to travel to the interior of the country from the Albrook Transport Terminal, in Ancón.
The measure also remains in force for those trying to travel in private cars.
Israel Cedeño, director of the metropolitan region of Minsa stressed that since June 1 we have gone from a quarantine to a curfew due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that does not mean that people can travel inland.
"We must continue [to stay] in our homes and not move to the provinces unless the person has a safe-conduct for humanitarian purposes issued by the Ministry of Health," said the official.
Minsa sent a note today to the administrators of the Albrook terminal on this matter, which prompted a meeting between transporters of the site in the morning.
Since last Monday, when block 2 of economic activities was launched and the absolute quarantine was ended, long lines of travelers have been seen in the terminal, looking for a ticket to go to various provinces of the interior of the Republic.
Benjamín Solís, director of Operations of the Albrook Terminal, said that the borrowers of the interprovincial sector will be able to sell tickets to users who have their pass.
"The trips of the routes will be scheduled in accordance with the demand for travel and biosafety guidelines," added Solís, who said that they only provide the service and facilities as a transfer center at the terminal.
