Ministry Launches Health Clusters Across Saudi Arabia, Completes First Phase of Transition
The Saudi Ministry of Health has completed the first stage of its reforms by establishing health clusters throughout the country.
These clusters are part of the larger Health Sector Transformation Program, which is designed to improve healthcare quality and align with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
Following Cabinet Decision No. 469, the Saudi Health Holding Company was set up to manage healthcare services across these clusters, while the Ministry of Health will regulate the sector.
The health clusters are intended to enhance patient care, offering a seamless transition from primary care to hospital treatment. Serving about one million people each, they comprise primary care centers, hospitals, and specialized services to provide comprehensive, prompt, and satisfying healthcare.
These clusters will monitor community health and work with other organizations to promote a healthier society.
The focus is on community health, prevention, early detection of diseases, primary care like the "Doctor for Every Family" program, rapid response for emergencies, and expanding digital and virtual care services.
