Minister Al-Rajhi: 11,171 Jobs Generated in Saudi Arabia's Occupational Safety and Health Sector in Three Years

Ahmed Al-Rajhi, announced that 11,171 jobs have been created in the occupational safety and health (OSH) sector over the past three years.
The ministry aims to increase the number of OSH specialists from 23,971 to 45,800 by 2025.
The Global Conference for Occupational Safety and Health is being held in Riyadh with the theme "Scanning the Horizon." The three-day conference covers topics such as sustainability, corporate safety, technological transformation, cultural awareness, and occupational health.
Al-Rajhi, who is also the chairman of the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH), highlighted Saudi Arabia's advancements in the OSH sector in recent years.
Minister Al-Rajhi credited the Saudi Arabian government's success in creating a vibrant society and a diverse, sustainable economy to initiatives started under Saudi Vision 2030.
He specifically mentioned the national policy on occupational safety and health (OSH), which aims to strengthen and develop the OSH sector, protect workers, and provide best practices.
The minister praised the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (NCOSH) for its efforts and highlighted achievements, such as a 30.7% decrease in work-related injuries, from 416 to 288 per 100,000 workers.

Al-Rajhi announced that 71.27 percent of establishments in Saudi Arabia now adhere to occupational safety and health (OSH) standards.
He attributed this success to the enactment of several legislations, including administrative regulations and a comprehensive national policy developed in collaboration with the International Labor Organization (ILO).
The policy, endorsed by the Council of Ministers, ensures effective monitoring and implementation.
Al-Rajhi inaugurated an exhibition related to the conference on OSH.
The minister visited different pavilions at the conference, including those of GOSI and Saudi Aramco, who are the organizers.
He also introduced the official website and e-training platform for the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, as well as a reporting system for work-related accidents, injuries, and diseases.
