Makkah Welcomes First Ivorian Pilgrims Under Makkah Route Initiative
The first group of 200 Ivorian pilgrims benefiting from the Makkah Route Initiative arrived in Makkah on Saturday for the 2024 Hajj. Ithraa Al-Khair Company received them upon arrival. The initiative allows biometric data collection and Hajj visas to be issued in pilgrims' home countries.
The first group of 200 Ivorian pilgrims benefiting from the Makkah Route Initiative arrived in Makkah on Saturday for the 2024 Hajj.
Ithraa Al-Khair Company, which provides services to around 200,000 pilgrims from 48 non-Arab African countries, received them upon arrival.
The initiative, aimed at offering high-quality services, allows biometric data to be collected and Hajj visas to be issued in pilgrims' home countries.
The General Directorate of Passports ensures health requirements are met before entering Saudi Arabia, and baggage is coded for efficient transportation.
Pilgrims and their luggage are then transported separately to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah.
