KSrelief continues humanitarian efforts in Indonesia, Nigeria

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is continuing its efforts around the world with the provision of food aid to people in need.
In Indonesia, KSrelief distributed more than 16 tons of food to 1,600 people from 400 families in the West Java province’s city of Bandung.

The Saudi Ramadan project aims to distribute 6,687 food baskets to feed 33,435 people in the provinces of Jakarta, West Java, Benten and Central Java.

KSrelief distributed almost 12 tons of food baskets in Nigeria’s Kano State, benefiting 1,200 people.

This initiative comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s humanitarian and relief projects through KSrelief to help countries in need and provide them with food security.

In Yemen, KSrelief provided urgent aid including tents and shelter bags to those affected by floods and heavy rain in Al-Shihr and Al-Mukalla camps in the Hadramout governorate.

In Syria, KSrelief distributed 142 mattresses, 142 blankets, and 71 shelter tents in Idlib, benefiting 71 families affected by February’s earthquakes.

These initiatives come as an extension of the humanitarian and relief support the Kingdom provides to people in crisis-hit countries.

Since its inception in 2015, KSrelief has implemented 2,315 projects in 90 countries at a total cost of more than $6.1 billion. The initiatives were carried out in cooperation with 175 local, regional and international partners.

The center’s programs include food security, water sanitation and hygiene, health, education, humanitarian and emergency relief coordination, logistics, nutrition, and emergency telecommunication.
