King Salman, Crown Prince perform Eid prayer in Makkah
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman preformed Eid Al-Fitr prayer in Makkah’s Grand Mosque on Monday.
This is the first in-person Eid prayer for the King in the Grand Mosque at Makkah since the pandemic hit the world in 2020.
Upon the arrival of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at the Royal Court at Al-Safa Palace, he was received by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, and Prince AbduleIlah bin Abdulaziz, Special Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prince Badr bin Sultan, Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior.
The military commander of the Islamic Military Coalition to Combat Terrorism, retired Lieutenant-General Rachel Sharif performed Eid prayer with the King.
After prayer, King Salman also received princes, scholars, sheikhs, and senior civilian and military officials at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah. They came to congratulate him on Eid Al-Fitr.
The monarch also received congratulatory phone calls from Arab and Muslim leaders. King Salman thanked them and wished them a happy Eid.
He also greeted the Saudi people and Muslims everywhere, thanking Allah because “we have successfully and comfortably completed our fasting and worshipping during the holy month of Ramadan.”
