King Faisal Specialist Hospital Performs Pediatric Domino Heart Transplant Using One Donor Heart for Two Children

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh treated two children through a coordinated procedure in which a donor heart was transplanted into a twelve-year-old and healthy cardiac tissue from the recipient’s explanted heart was then used in surgery on a nine-year-old, which the hospital described as a regional first.
