King Appoints Prince Salman bin Sultan as Emir of Madinah and Prince Faisal bin Salman as His Special Advisor

King Salman has appointed Prince Salman bin Sultan as the emir of Madinah with ministerial rank and named Prince Faisal bin Salman as his special advisor.
Tuesday's royal decrees further designated Prince Faisal as chairman of both the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives and the King Fahd National Library Board of Trustees on recommendation from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Additionally, new deputy emirs were appointed: Prince Saud bin Mishaal for Makkah, succeeding Prince Badr bin Sultan; Prince Saud bin Bandar for the Eastern Province, replacing Prince Ahmed bin Fahd bin Salman; and deputy emirs for Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and Asir as Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Abdullah, Prince Miteb bin Mishaal, and Prince Khaled bin Sattam, respectively. Prince Mansour bin Muhammad was succeeded by Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah as governor of Hafar Al-Batin.

Other key appointments include Dr. Hisham bin Abdulrahman as assistant interior minister, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed as deputy interior minister, Khaled bin Farid as Royal Court advisor, Eng. Khalil bin Ibrahim as deputy minister of industry for industrial affairs, Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth as assistant media minister, Musaed bin Abdulaziz as Makkah mayor, Eng. Abdullah bin Mahdi as Asir mayor, Dr. Yousef bin Sayyah as General Intelligence deputy chief, and Zuhair Al-Zuman as Human Rights Commission assistant president.

The King has instructed the relevant bodies to carry out these orders.
