Japanese FM Expresses Support for Palestine during Meeting with Salameh
The Fourth Ministerial Meeting of the Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for Palestinian Development (CEAPAD IV) held in Kuala Lumpur.
Tokyo, July 14, 2025: Japanese Foreign Minister IWAYA Takeshi met with Estephan Anton Salameh, Palestine's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, during the CEAPAD IV conference.
The meeting took place at CEAPAD IV in Kuala Lumpur, where discussions centered on enhancing assistance to Palestine.
Iwaya emphasized Japan's commitment to supporting a two-state solution for Palestine and its efforts towards Palestinian state-building.
He expressed hope that the conference would contribute significantly to achieving these objectives.During the meeting, Salameh appreciated Japan's continuous support for Palestine through initiatives like CEAPAD.
He also brought attention to the urgent humanitarian situation in Gaza, emphasizing the need for an immediate ceasefire to facilitate advancements in Palestinian development.
