The Holy Kaaba's routine maintenance commenced on Saturday, directed by the Finance Ministry's Projects Management Office, in collaboration with various government entities.
This effort reflects King Salman's continuous dedication to honoring and preserving the Kaaba in optimum condition.
The maintenance aligns with initiatives led by King Salman and overseen by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman to maintain this sacred site.
The Finance Ministry's office oversees the project progression, employing specialized teams involved in the expansion projects of the Grand Mosque. The office ensures meticulous attention to workflow, utilizing cutting-edge technology and meeting international standards as instructed by the Saudi leadership.
Since its inception in 1438 AH, the office has managed the expansion of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah.
This includes significant projects like enlarging the Grand Mosque, increasing the Mataf area, and the third Saudi expansion of the Prophet’s Mosque. The same office previously managed the Holy Kaaba's maintenance in Shawwal 1440 AH and Dhul-Hijjah 1442 AH.
