Heavy rains of Jeddah have nothing to do with rain seeding
The rain seeding operations has nothing to do and not the reason of the heavy rains in Jeddah, Aqeel Al-Aqeel, analyst at the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said.
Al-Aqeel made the remarks during an interview with Al-Ekhbariya, commenting on the rain condition in Saudi Arabia's regions, especially in Jeddah which has witnessed heavy rains and thunderstorms recently.
It is noteworthy that Jeddah Municipality has confirmed that it is making its utmost efforts to face the rainy conditions that the region is witnessing in different locations.
It noted that it has prepared personnel, equipment, machinery and work teams in 16 sub-municipalities and 13 support centers.
The official spokesman of the Jeddah Municipality, Mohammad Al-Baqami, said that the field plan that they implemented included withdrawing water pools, in addition to continuing to lift the effects of the rainy situation.
