Hamas has called for international "solidarity marches" scheduled from Friday to Sunday, intended to protest a recent U.S. proposal that has been endorsed by Israel.

This proposal entails the possible relocation of Palestinians from the conflict-affected Gaza Strip.

In an official statement, the group appealed to "the masses of our people, our Arab and Islamic nation, and the free people of the world" to take part in these marches to voice their opposition to what they label as plans to displace Palestinians from their land.
