Gulf Health Council: Avoid oil and salt for Suhoor
The Gulf Health Council stressed the need for a healthy breakfast and adopting important healthy behaviors during the fasting month of Ramadan.
These include the beginning of Iftar with dates and water, and avoid eating food that contains oil or salt in the Suhoor (pre-dawn meal).
In a statement on its Twitter account, the Council noted that all the faithful should be keen on including light items such as soup before taking the main dishes.
It stressed the importance of drinking water at frequent intervals during the Iftar period, and also to ensure adding more fruits and vegetables in the diet.
