Four Dead, Five Injured in Two Separate Stabbing Incidents in Rockford, Illinois: Suspect in Custody

On March 28, 2024, in Rockford, Illinois, a stabbing incident left four people dead and five others injured.
The suspect is in police custody and being questioned.

One of the wounded individuals is in critical condition.

The police received the first call at 1:14 p.m. and found four people deceased at the scene, while one person is critically injured and four are stable.

The chief of police expressed her condolences to the families of the victims.

On Wednesday in Rockford, Illinois, a heinous crime occurred where four people were killed in separate attacks.

Three people died at the scene, and the fourth passed away at the hospital.

The victims did not all have stab wounds, and none were shot.

According to authorities, there are no other suspects at large.

The motive behind the crime is unclear.

Residents in the area are being asked to review their home surveillance camera footage for any related information.

Rockford, with a population of approximately 150,000, is 90 miles northwest of Chicago.

This incident comes after a teenage employee was stabbed and killed at a Walmart in Rockford just a few days prior.

Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara expressed shock over the latest act of violence.

A suspect has been arrested following a home invasion that resulted in stab wounds for two individuals.

The community's focus is now on supporting those affected by the violence.

Law enforcement from multiple jurisdictions are investigating multiple crime scenes to understand the incident and prevent similar occurrences in the future.

One survivor, a young lady, sustained serious injuries to her hands and face, while a good Samaritan also received stab wounds while trying to help her.

A violent incident left residents of a Rockford, Illinois neighborhood in shock.

Eric Patterson expressed his confusion and disbelief, likening the situation to a violent video game.

Cassandra Hernandez, another neighbor, was friends with one of the victims and shared her surprise and sadness, emphasizing the close-knit nature of their community.
