Fahad Al-Dossari replaces Pesendorfer as President of GASTAT
The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) board, headed by Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim, appointed Fahad Al-Dossari as president of the authority, starting from Sunday replacing Konrad Pesendorfer.
Al-Dossari will work to achieve the transformation goals and complete the development of the statistical system.
Al-Dossari held several leadership positions, including his most recent position as the Deputy Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). His expertise includes working in system analysis, economic research and statistics.
He was also member and chair of several governmental and professional committees as well as boards of local and international funds and banks.
The board thanked Pesendorfer for his efforts during the last two years. He will serve now as an advisor to the GASTAT chairman.
