Johnson & Johnson MedTech begins direct operations in Saudi Arabia

Johnson & Johnson MedTech has launched its direct operations in Saudi Arabia, set to enhance the nation's healthcare with sophisticated medical technology.
The initiative aims to provide high-quality medical and surgical devices, offering a more efficient service for its customers.

The company's decision aligns with its dedication to improving medical outcomes and its investment in the future of Saudi healthcare.

Managing director for the Middle East & Africa, Marzena Kulis, expressed the company's commitment to supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by advancing the healthcare sector, stimulating economic growth, and promoting local talent and innovation.

With nearly four decades of presence in Saudi Arabia, Johnson & Johnson has consistently prioritized the healthcare needs of the community. The transition to direct operations is expected to simplify processes for partners, enhancing patient care, according to Kulis.

J&J MedTech KSA's general manager, Trad Al-Khelaiwi, pointed out the company's commitment to nurturing local talent in line with the government's Saudization efforts, noting 76 recent hires, predominantly Saudi nationals.

The shift to direct operations will bring J&J's high standards closer to customers and advance the local healthcare sector with global expertise. Peter Lane, the company's Transformation Director, emphasized the alignment of this move with the National Health Transformation Program and the potential of local talent to drive innovation.

In November 2022, J&J announced new digital solutions aimed at reducing hospital stays, crucial for regions with limited bed capacity. According to Kulis in an Arab News interview, these digital tools are designed to optimize patient turnover in healthcare facilities where bed availability is constrained.
