Ensuring energy security among Arab citizens requires a comprehensive approach, according to Ali Al-Maliki, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League. The Arab League has also developed a guide detailing policies and incentives for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Ensuring energy security among Arab citizens requires a comprehensive and integrated approach, according to Ali Al-Maliki, the Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Economic Affairs Sector at the Arab League.
Speaking at the 12th celebration of Arab Energy Efficiency Day, Al-Maliki, whose speech was delivered by Jamila Mattar, Director of the Energy Department at the General Secretariat of the Arab League, emphasized the critical nature of energy security for economic growth, national security, and the well-being of Arab citizens.
He advocated for measures that include enhancing energy efficiency, developing renewable energy, protecting energy infrastructure, and reducing harmful carbon emissions.
Ali Al-Maliki also mentioned that efficiency is vital for energy security, and achieving it means providing services at the lowest cost without compromising quality.
Furthermore, the Arab League has created a Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Guide in Arab Countries, which includes information on policies, programs, legal frameworks, and financial incentives related to energy efficiency and renewable energy.
