The colleges set up in mid-May, the first of its kind in the Kingdom for women, offer both diploma and bachelor programs in various fields such as network systems management, media technology, software, the Internet of Things, smart cities, robotics technology, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

Al-Sheikh, who is also the chairman of the Board of Directors of TVTC, said in his speech that the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman has been keen to make women a cornerstone of this developmental movement by empowering them and providing them with the highest levels of support. This has been done through developing women's capabilities, investing in their talents and energies, and creating opportunities for them to obtain suitable jobs.

He also pointed out that the TVTC attaches great importance to the training of women in order to enhance their roles in achieving the Kingdom's Vision 2030 initiatives, as its strategic goals include increasing the rate of women's participation in the national economy.

For his part, the TVTC governor said that the digital colleges for women in Riyadh and Jeddah will provide specialized training programs for more than 4,000 trainees in several fields that keep pace with the need of the digital labor market.
