Circulated photo for man being executed publicly in Egypt is 'Fake'

In another attempt for the outlawed Muslim brotherhood group to undermine the state and incite chaos in Egypt, they started circulating a photo showing a young man tied to wooden poles and executed by bullets calming that it took place in Egypt.

According to Agence France-Presse, this photo was taken in Syria in 2015, as the man was shot by the terrorist ISIS group, and was never related to any events that took place in Egypt.

An anonymous twitter account shared the photo earlier in October saying that Egypt’s forces killed that man as a result of participating in protests against the government.

However, AFP report denied the claim, and affirmed that the photo was for one of ISIS crimes in Syria, and that it took place in the street during the month of Ramadan, 2015.

A Syrian source told AFP, "When ISIS used to carry out public executions, they invited people to gather and witness the killing. That day when I arrived at the execution location, that young man in the photo was shot already, and ISIS claimed that he was an Iraqi soldier."

"The body was hung publicly for a long time.” He added,

This is not the first time for Muslim brotherhood to try circulating fake and old news to incite against the Egyptian state.

In September 25, the Qatari-owned Al Jazeera channel published a fake video claiming that dozens of people chanted against President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

The Qatari channel’s fabricated coverage came within the anti-Egypt campaign that has been launched by Egyptian fugitive contractor Mohamed Ali, who incited the people to take to streets to protest against President Sisi.

Al Jazeera published on Friday video footage showing people chant against President Sisi; however, AFP reported that that video is an old one and dated back to 2013, adding that the sound of the video was inserted.

The fabricated video also went viral on pro-Muslim Brotherhood trolls’ accounts on social media platforms and their channels.
