Cabinet reaffirms support to global efforts to solve Russia-Ukraine crisis

The Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Tuesday afternoon at Al-Yamamah Palace here, reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support to international efforts aimed at resolving the Russian-Ukrainian crisis politically in a manner that preserves regional and international security and stability.
At the outset of the session, the Cabinet reviewed the content of the recent talks held between Saudi Arabia and other countries on boosting joint cooperation and advancing relations to take them to broader horizons.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Minister of State, Cabinet's Member for Shoura Council Affairs, and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Essam Bin Saad Bin Saeed said that the Cabinet addressed several topics and reports on developments in the region and the world.

The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Sport to hold talks with the Maldivian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Sport in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Community Empowerment of Maldives to cooperate in the field of sport.

It approved a headquarters agreement between the government of Saudi Arabia and the Digital Cooperation Organization. It also approved a general agreement for cooperation between the governments of Saudi Arabia and Nepal.

The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts to hold talks with the Italian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding between the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts in Saudi Arabia and the University of Polytechnic in Milan in the field of traditional arts.

It authorized the Minister of Communications and Information Technology to hold talks with the UN Development Program regarding a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in digital transformation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Saudi Arabia and the UN Development Program.

The Cabinet authorized the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Chairman of the Institute of Public Administration– to hold talks with the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council regarding a draft memorandum of understanding in the field of training and administrative development between the Institute of Public Administration in Saudi Arabia and the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

It approved the transit agreement among Arab countries (the amended). It also approved a memorandum of cooperation in the intellectual property field between the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property in Saudi Arabia and the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore.

The Cabinet amended the number of members of the Board of Directors of the National Water Company in Paragraph (A) Article 15 of the National Water Company's Statute – issued under the Royal Decree No. (M/1) on 13/1/1429 Hijri to read 10 members, where the Company's Board of Directors shall be chaired by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and include representatives from several government agencies and the private sector, who are: Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Obeikan, Eng. Ali Bin Saleh Al-Barak, Faisal Bin Youssef Jadu and Nizar Bin Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri.
