Arab and Muslim organizations condemn Israeli official's provocative practices

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf condemned the provocative practices carried out by an Israeli official by storming the courtyard of Al Aqsa Mosque.
The GCC secretary general expressed his regret for the practices of the Israeli occupation authorities that undermine international peace efforts and contradict international principles and norms in respect of religious sanctities.

Additionally, the GCC chief affirmed the firm position of the GCC to stand by the brotherly Palestinian people, and to support all efforts aimed at ending the occupation and reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause, enabling the Palestinian people to establish their independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

A host of regional Arab and Muslim organizations released statements strongly condemning the Israeli far right minister storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards.

In Cairo, Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Aboul Al-Gheit strongly denounced Israel's far-right National Security. Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir storming of the mosque's compound, calling it a sacrilegious act and a provocation of Muslim’s feelings.

Al-Gheit affirmed that (Benjamin) Netanyahu's government is completely responsible for these extremist practices and their ramifications on global peace.

The Cairo-based Arab Parliament also deplored Ben-Gvir's action, underscoring rejection of any attempt to alter Jerusalem's historical and legal status quo.

The Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) Secretariat General vehemently condemned the actions, considering than blatant breach of international law. OIC urged the international community to take responsibility and put an end to these instability-fueling infringements.

In Kuwait, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister strongly denounced Israel's far right minister storming of the compound the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

In a statement stressed that this act provokes feelings of Muslims, violates international legitimacy resolutions and comes within the framework of the Israeli occupation authorities' continuous attempts to change the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its sanctities.

The Ministry also urged the international community to act immediately and put an end to such acts.

In Abu Dhabi, the UAE Tuesday strongly condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyard by an Israeli minister under the protection of Israeli forces.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) reiterated its firm position on the need to provide full protection for Al-Aqsa Mosque and halt serious and provocative violations taking place there.

Furthermore, the Ministry underscored the need to respect the custodial role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan over the holy sites and endowments in accordance with international law and the historical situation at hand, and not to compromise the authority of the Jerusalem Endowment Administration and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Ministry called upon Israeli authorities to assume responsibility for reducing escalation and instability in the region.

Moreover, the Ministry stressed the need to support all regional and international efforts to advance the Middle East Peace Process, end illegal practices that threaten the two-state solution, and establish an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
