Al-Khorayef stresses KSA’s attractive investment environment to Australian officials, investors

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef held a meeting with officials of Australian companies here, under the umbrella of the Trademark Group of Companies, as part of his official visit to Australia.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Eng. Khalid Bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer, CEO of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program Eng. Suleiman Al-Mazrou, and CEO of the National Industrial Development Center Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Qirtas too attended.

During the meeting, Al-Khorayef emphasized the attractiveness of the investment environment in Saudi Arabia, and reviewed the main elements of the Kingdom’s infrastructure and its potential, including natural resources, the distinguished geographical location, and qualified human resources

This is in addition, he said, to the technical infrastructure that leads the development of the industrial and mining sector.

The minister said the visit aims to exchange knowledge and experiences and to strengthen relations between the two countries for the benefit of the industrial and mining sectors by benefiting from Australian expertise.

Al-Mudaifer explained during the meeting that the Kingdom has introduced new mining regulations that guarantee fair competition and high transparency that makes the Kingdom a global destination for mining, in addition to several incentives provided by the industry and mining system in the Kingdom.

He stressed that the Kingdom owns many mineral resources that contribute significantly to the transformation of energy and support of modern technologies, to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, to make the mining sector the third pillar of the national industry.

The meeting comes as part of the official visit of the Saudi delegation to Australia to introduce investment opportunities in the mining sector in the Kingdom, under the umbrella of "Invest Saudi”.

The Saudi delegation, during the visit, will also participate in the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC), which will be held in Sydney from Nov. 2-4, 2022.
