Abdullah Kamel elected chairman of Makkah chamber

Abdullah Saleh Kamel has been elected chairman of the Board of Directors of the Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Members of the board elected him unanimously for a four-year term (1444-1448) for the 21st session of the board while Sultan Azhar was chosen as first vice chairman and Eng. Mustafa Rajab as second vice chairman. Minister of Commerce Majed Al-Qasabi has issued orders endorsing the results of the election.

Reda Al-Ghamdi was the supervisor of the polling process, which was held in the presence of all 12 new members of the board. Two businesswomen have been elected to the board of directors for the first time in the history of the Makkah chamber. They are Shaima bint Muhammad Ahmad Mashat and Olya bint Mazen Mahmoud Al-Sawaf. The process of electing the chairman and his deputies took place in a friendly atmosphere.

Addressing the board members, Abdullah Kamel thanked for the great trust reposed by the Minister of Commerce on him and other members of the board, looking forward to the bright future of the chamber in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 under the wise leadership.

“I ask God to help us all to serve His holy land, as well as to work on developing the business world, support society, and serve our great country. Today, God is grateful to everyone with the launch of the 21st session of the board, and we are doing our best to open up to broad horizons of success,” he said while appreciating the remarkable contributions made the 20th session of the Makkah chamber board.

The new board members also include Sultan bin Muwaffaq Omar Azhar, Abdullah bin Omar Abdullah Qazi, Nabil bin Abdul Rahim Abdul Ghani Al-Thaqafi, Ahmed bin Rabeh Hamed Al-Sharif, Khaled Bin Radh Moaid Al Harthy, Fawaz Bin Aqab Musaed Al Sharif, Faisal Bin Qaid Saeed Qaid, and Naif Bin Mishaal Surur Al Zaidi.
