Hawi Initiative Continues to Flourish Across Saudi Arabia
446 Hobby Clubs Established Across Saudi Arabia.
RIYADH: The rapid growth of hobby clubs in Saudi Arabia is bringing communities together and expanding people's interests and opportunities.
As part of the Saudi Quality of Life program, the Hawi initiative was launched in October 2022, and since then, 446 hobby clubs have been established in 50 cities and provinces across the country.
The platform offers a wide range of hobbies, including pottery making, fashion, collecting valuable items, artisanry, public speaking, and reading.
The aim of these clubs is to help people develop their interests and connect with others who share similar interests.
In recent weeks, Hawi has organized or supervised events and activities across the country, attracting people of all ages.
These events are associated with the Quality of Life Program Center, which aims to register 6,000 amateur clubs by 2030.
Khalid Albaker, the center's CEO, stated, “These tours play an important role in communication between the Hawi portal, amateur clubs, and their members.
They create a fun, engaging, and secure environment for people to practice their hobbies.” He added that the leadership places a high priority on the hobby sector and is committed to improving the quality of life for individuals and society as per Saudi Vision 2030.
The hobby sector is a part of a comprehensive plan that aims to benefit all segments of society and enable individuals to flourish through the practice of their favorite hobbies.
